A recruiter reached out to me. I passed an OA with two questions and then scheduled two technical interviews back-to-back.

I then attended these interviews and passed them, entering team-matching a couple of months later. Subsequently, a few months after that, I had three calls in one week and ended up matching with one candidate after our conversation.

Pros: If you are in the right place, it all works great.

Cons: If you are on the wrong team, it is a struggle. The political setup is such that you need seniors to help you move up. You need to be good, and also be a "good boy". Depending on the group, sometimes, you can be a nobody and still expect to get rewarded, though I hope what I saw happen is an exception. Trying to challenge and work your way up is very, very hard. You need to be very lucky.
