Process

One of my friends recommended me to an HR representative at Google. The HR representative contacted me and asked me to submit my resume.

After a few days, she sent me an email stating that I had passed the Staffing Review stage and had arranged two technical phone interviews for me.

The interviewers were from Google Tokyo (I had applied to Google in Asia). They were very friendly and helpful. They told me that these interviews were not meant to test my weaknesses but to find my strengths, so I shouldn't panic if I didn't know the answer to a question.

After the interviews, they sent my results to the Hiring Committee to make hire or no-hire decisions.

I received an email from the HR representative the next week saying that I had passed the Hiring Committee round and asking me to fill out a form about my preferences. The hiring managers would then make a selection based on that.

Just a few days after, I got the offer.
