Software Engineer (Internship) Interview Experience

Process

This was a regular process. I received a link to two coding questions to solve within 90 minutes. (You can run your code to see if it works before submitting).

Later, I received an email asking me to pick 10 dates for a phone screen interview (but this was not a literal phone call; you could use your laptop).

I scheduled the interview for the first available date.

The first interview was relatively easy, but I struggled with the second one.

About three weeks later, I received a generic rejection email:

"Thank you so much for interviewing with us. We enjoyed learning more about your background and experience. The hiring team has decided not to move forward with your candidacy for the semester year Software Engineering Internship role. If we come across another opening that we think could interest you and may be a good match for your skills and experience, a member of our recruiting team may contact you."

I was very disappointed.

It seems that websites like LeetCode and books such as "Cracking the Coding Interview" are essential resources if you wish to pass technical interviews.

I was very disappointed.
