Process

Google has the best recruiters I have experienced so far. To put this in perspective, this is my third interview process with Google; each time, I've made it one step forward. My interviewer, however, could have been better. I will be talking about my recent interview process.

I applied online at Google. The recruiter reached back to me in two days and asked my availability for a phone chat and screening. My recruiter briefed me on the process and sent me reference materials and tips on how to succeed in the interview.

Technical interview: two back-to-back interviews, each 45 minutes long.

My first interviewer was so difficult to understand and had feedback on the audio to make matters worse. I asked if it could be fixed, but my comment was not taken.

Questions

1st interview: Write a function to give the probability of busting when playing Blackjack. (Blackjack is a card game to get as near to 21 as possible; over 21 is a bust. Cards are numbered 1-10. Imagine there is a function draw() to draw a card.)

2nd interview: Write a function to return the closest bike or car given a grid with people requesting a car or bike.
