Software Engineer (Internship) Interview Experience

Process

I had an online coding interview where I had to solve two problems. Both were, I would say, LeetCode easy level. They did not care about efficiency, but correctness. This followed two 45-minute interviews, back to back.

I didn't finish the first problem, although I was on my way to. I made a ton of mistakes, but the interviewer was helpful and guided me.

The second interviewer was friendlier but stayed quiet. They asked me more abstract questions about framework design as I was solving the problem. Both problems were LeetCode easy-medium.

I thought I did horribly in both, but I guess talking and speaking my thoughts helped. I showed my interest in a certain section of the software and had a good conversation about it.
