This was a very bad experience. I thought Google was a good company with sharp employees, but my interview experience was just the opposite. As is usual, since the Bay Area is crowded with people from India, Google is the same. My interview was taken by a manager from the same origin. The worst part of the interview was when that person negated some answers which were correct. Later, when I insisted they were correct, they rechecked and found them to be correct, and they apologized. This is a worst example from an interviewer, which shows a lack of knowledge. If this had happened to me, I would have stepped down and offered a job to the person right away if I was the hiring manager. But that person moved on after apologizing as if nothing happened. Later, I received an email stating they were not considering my candidacy for this position.
Secondly, there is a growing trend. Whether a position requires automation or not, people tend to ask lots of automation questions, which was the case with this one. This is bad.
