I went through 5 rounds of on-site interviews. The first 3 rounds went well, but the 4th round, a coding challenge regarding BST, was difficult. I implemented my initial solution and then wanted to tweak it to add another logic that was requested originally.
The interviewer didn’t seem happy. Why? Because he wanted to see both algorithms implemented from the beginning. He told me that he expected a senior member to come up with both algorithms.
I felt kind of humiliated, and he ruined my day. I lost focus on the last round, even though the interviewer was a nice guy.
Why does Google think they are the best and that they can treat people the way they want?
I will never interview with them again.
