They serve food, so if you can take out 30 mins from your day to go and get something to eat, you don't need to go far.
Google was once one of the best companies to work for, but now it's probably one of the worst. There is a toxic work culture and managers who have no boundaries. Managers call their reportees in the middle of the night and during weekends on their cell phone. Meetings that are supposed to be an hour long frequently continue for 2 to 2.5 hours on the demand of any of the senior leaders. There is barely any break during the day to even eat or go to the washroom. Working for any company is better than working for Google today if you want to have a life outside work. This is specific to Google Cloud.
Wake up before all the good talent find some place else to work.
A recruiter from Google contacted me. I scheduled a 45-minute phone screening interview that covered many areas: * 1 Phone Interview (Coding, System Design, Linux Commands, and Data Modeling) * 2 Onsite Interviews: * 1 Behavior * 1
HR phone call. 1 round phone interview, 2 coding problems (LeetCode mid-level). The interviewer was not very kind. 2 weeks. 5 rounds onsite interview: 1 system design (booking tickets), 4 coding. Questions were mid and hard. Had lunch there.
One phone, four onsite. Questions are not difficult, but the problem is interviewers are always looking into their screen even though they are writing about the candidate. It's a strong disconnect. You feel like you are making mistakes even though yo
