Pros

Exposure to some industry-leading technologies and fun challenges to solve.

Cons

Overworked, underpaid. Team leaders lack vision on projects and will ask for more and more features on software, then scrap them in the end when their project direction suddenly changes because they skipped critical steps in the beginning of project planning.

Advice to Management

Spend more time developing a concrete vision for projects with members of the team. Give everyone a chance to speak their mind about potential issues with how the project should progress so that in the development phase, team members are all on the same page and there are no surprises.
