Google is not a good place for temp/contractors
Nice team member, good work environment, free lunch.
Obvious diff treatment on temp / contractor. Not invited into some meetings, not much benefit, etc. You just feel it all the time.
TVC is doing the same work as full-time employees. Google hires so many TVCs, so we need to treat them seriously.

HW Engineer
Interview for internship. Had to phone screen twice. The first one was a screen on camera fundamentals, and the second one was more of a team matching call with the hiring managers describing their projects.
Software Engineer
First, an online assessment, then the HR call, then several rounds of technical interview (you need to solve data structure/algorithm problems), and finally a manager interview (mostly behavioral questions).
