It really felt like they cared about us and wanted to keep us happy, healthy, and productive. I felt very supported working there, and that meant a lot to my happiness.
Incredible internal mobility, enabling you to continue working on new, interesting challenges without having to join a new company. 20% time was an incredible perk to keep you interested and be able to learn new things.
They are very strategic about getting you to spend a lot of time at the office and spend most of your life within the confines of the Google campus. This makes you incredibly productive, but also makes it hard to leave. If you tie a large part of your life to the campus, you have a pretty big void left when you leave.
