My team is very competitive and feels stressful.

In my team, tasks far outweigh headcounts. So many people are overloaded, especially after layoffs at the beginning of this year.

There's less career development focus. All 1-1 meetings with managers were wasted discussing projects. Very few discussions were about career development. This might be due to a smaller promo budget and recent layoffs.

I feel uncertain about the leadership within my team, not company-wide. We wasted a quarter working on advanced but purely imagined features. We struggled to figure out the requirements, as no one was super clear. They presented every possibility and discussed non-existing use cases. After wasting time on design documents, requirements changed. Now, I need to work weekends to finish another project on time.
