Working on outside fun projects outside Google can be difficult due to the fact that the company's research interests are all over the map. This can cause things you do in your own time to potentially be subject to the company's copyright, even if you never relied upon resources from work to accomplish them.
Listen to employees more. We come from a wide range of experiences and backgrounds, and sometimes know our users better than you think we do when driving product management decisions top-down.

Standard interview loop for big tech. There was a remote round and then several in-person rounds. LeetCode type with one system design and one behavioral. No major surprises. The only distinguishing thing is that their process is very slow.
