Pros
  • Experience working at fantastic scale.
  • You work with the best tools for large-scale data analysis and web applications, period.
  • Great, fun people and good conversations.
  • A slightly chaotic, free-for-all feeling.
Cons

The software stack is entirely in-house and proprietary, so a lot of time is spent learning tools that won't be useful when you leave. The entitlement complex a few people have is embarrassing and scary. Slightly chaotic free-for-all feeling.

Advice to Management

Larry and Sergey should send emails to the employees from time to time. I've been here years and not once seen L&S put their thoughts into writing for the workers. Eric only does so very occasionally. This contributes quite a bit to the chaotic feeling.
