The salary is high; I couldn't make this much anywhere else. The health benefits and other perks don't get any better than this.
The company would like you to drink the Kool-Aid. I did in the beginning and became disappointed by a lot of things. Now I look at Google as a big company that is doing its best, and I do my best. I'm much happier now.
I would like to see more remote workers. It's cheaper to fly someone to Mountain View once per month than to provide them with three meals, a desk, a gym, a bus, a micro-kitchen, and enough money to rent an apartment in SF.
