Pros

The teammates are all nice and helpful.

My host worked for Google for more than 10 years with lots of experience.

I learned a lot from him.

Cons

The conversion process needs an additional two rounds of interviews. If you focused on your project, didn't prepare for interviews well, and didn't perform well in them, you are likely to be rejected by the Hire Committee.

Advice to Management

The interviews in the conversion process make interns unable to focus on their projects. The questions in interviews are not of the same difficulty; some people may get an easy one, while others get a really difficult one. Also, this summer, interns had no access to the code library, resulting in randomly assigned projects. Almost all previously assigned projects were canceled, and hosts and teams would be re-assigned. Interns need some "luck" to succeed in the internship, more so than in previous years.
