Nice company to work for.
Too much slack. Very conventional hiring that leads to privileged, static-minded employees.
There is an immense amount of slack in the company, maybe due to its huge size.
Also, change your hiring methods. I interviewed great candidates that never got hired because most of my colleagues who were part of the interview process were biased towards them not having a particular education or work experience.
Sundar and the top management are great; it's the mid-level managers that are the issue.
I had a referral. The process was like any interview: it started with talking to the recruiter, a phone screen, and finally an onsite interview. There were a total of five interviews: one behavioral and four coding. The coding questions were not too
The coding problem was really hard. At first, I misunderstood the purpose of the question. I finally realized it when there were only 10 minutes left. Unfortunately, I didn't solve it and received a rejection letter.
I submitted my application on Google's career page. Within a week, I received a coding sample and survey email. There were two coding sample questions, and I had 90 minutes to solve them. However, I did not make it to the interview round.
