Most of my time at Google was great, though I must say they were starting to lose direction toward the end of my time there. The shift to focusing all resources on AI was jarring.
Your experience at Google will heavily depend on your manager.
I have experienced what it is like to have a great manager as well as a terrible manager.
Internal mobility has gotten difficult, so it's possible to get stuck with the latter.
