One year at Google – hit by Jan 2020 layoffs
Great compensation, and every benefit under the sun. Opportunities to get promoted relatively quickly.
I did not personally enjoy working with my team. I felt that people were not motivated, did not appreciate all they had, and were generally a bit disheartened.
This is coming from a relatively new grad who was motivated and looking to grow more than coast. Had I had the opportunity, I would have tried to move teams.
