Pros

At face value, my salary is probably a little low, but there are a lot of random ways you can get paid here.

Rental car discounts, free food, etc.

I'm pretty happy about the all-in number.

Coworkers are very smart (probably a little too smart, in that I look less good in comparison). The approach to engineering is very positive.

Cons

The infrastructure is largely custom and it is not good (for front-end). There's no good reason why Google uses all these random front-end frameworks.

Advice to Management

Drop Angular. Drop remote development. Drop the monorepos. Drop the custom tools that cause a janky development process.
