Great perks, but don’t get too attached to your project
- Some of the best (in-office) perks in the industry.
- It's not Facebook.
- People are mostly really nice.
- Compensation is pretty generous.
Google Cloud in particular is a very chaotic place to work, with constant shifts in strategic direction.
Middle management is bloated and doesn’t add any value to the organization. Reorgs happen constantly. They are very reluctant to promote from within.
