Very good perks in terms of salary, free food, and a gym.
"Googlyness, don't be evil, respect each other" are just BS.
Reality is that liars and incompetent engineers and managers are respected, appreciated, and incentivized by being put in leading positions.
Evaluation and promotion processes are not necessarily based on contributions but are sometimes popularity competitions.
There's a low bar in the quality of both managers and engineers, and the number of incompetent people is really large. There's no job security anymore since the layoffs started in 2023.
