Experience of Software Engineer Intern: Nice place to work, but you need to work
A lot of nice bonuses for employees. Good salary. Adequate and friendly people. Some of my programming tasks at work and the project itself, I'm working in, are interesting. Many opportunities for learning and improving your skills in a variety of fields. It's overall significantly better than my previous works. :)
It takes a lot of time to get comfortable with the company's internal tools and resources, because there are too many of them.
Both the company and its codebase are too big and have too complicated a structure, which makes work more complicated than in a small company in many aspects.
Some of my programming tasks at work are challenging and hard by their nature.
I.e., I really need to work. :(
