I applied online on the Google website and was contacted directly by a recruiter from Google. She was very helpful and thorough in explaining the steps involved. She also sent me a separate email on how to prepare, though it wasn't overly specific.

Algorithms-based questions. The interviewers are very helpful, but it will cost you as to whether you get hired or not. You get one software testing question and one code question.

Google Hangouts with recruiter and then with a QA Manager. Mostly general QA questions, which were easy to answer for an experienced QA engineer. And then no feedback or answer.
