This was a lengthy process that required multiple interviews. First, I spoke to HR. Then, I had to go through a process of speaking to the hiring manager. Finally, there was a more technical interview.

Google will give you sufficient time to prepare. I asked for a month to prepare for my first telephonic round. They also send you sufficient heads-up material to look over.

I was contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn. I had an initial phone screen with the recruiter. Next, there was a 45-minute phone screen with a developer, which required coding in Google Docs. I was then invited onsite for a full day of interviews.
