Excellent meals. Generally a great work environment. Superb internal tools. Folks are nice. Very low pressure environment.
Lots of talent there, but not always clear what to work on. Warehouses full of shelf-ware. Many half-baked projects start and are vaporized when they lead nowhere. This is a good strategy for Google; as a monopoly, they can start a thousand projects. If a couple turn out well, they write the others off, as their giant cash machine covers all costs.
One beef: it's harder being older there. Explicit ageism was very rare, but there was a strong strain of "let's celebrate youth" – the famous "take your parents to work day." Once in a while, I was on the receiving end of some condescending nonsense as an "unwoke" ancient. It's precious snowflake central – nice kids – but they've no clue how the rest of the working world works.
