Software Development Engineer Interview Experience - Seattle, Washington

Process

Applied online and was contacted by the manager. I received a coding question and a questionnaire. The coding question was average.

I received a call for scheduling a phone interview. The phone interview consisted of three one-line question-answer prompts (e.g., "Given a program, find its output."). Following that, there was a coding question, which was a simple string manipulation problem, nothing too difficult. I did well on the coding question.

The interviewer seemed disinterested, very unfriendly, and unhelpful. They did not ask any questions while I was coding and showed their disinterest by not talking or simply offering a perfunctory answer when I asked questions.

I received a rejection email within 15 minutes after the call.
