Too much uncertainty. It's just sad to see the current state of the company. I don't know how they're making decisions to lay off talented people with so much institutional knowledge.
There's so much miscommunication and disconnect with senior leadership.
It used to be a pretty open culture with prior CEO (Aaron Cooper) and CTO (John Higginson), but sadly it's not the same in my opinion. Morale in the company is at its lowest in my opinion.
To me, it looks like the current senior leadership is trying to make it run like Amazon. It is never going to work because Groupon is no Amazon.
Coderbyte test: * Problem Solving * Coding * Data Structures * Low-Level Design * High-Level Design * Database design * Class modeling Hiring Manager discussion around behavior and technical skills. Difficulty level: Medium to hard.
The process was like any other organization. It was fine. Nothing much to explain. It started with an HR Discussion, followed by a Technical Round which was about 45 minutes. Overall, the process was satisfactory.
I had a virtual on-site interview that was long and involved multiple rounds. One round involved coding, and another round involved debugging an application. Overall, the experience was friendly, but it depends on who you interview with.
