The interview process began with a phone screen with a director, followed shortly by an in-person interview. The entire process lasted approximately 4 hours.
It consisted of a steady sequence of one-on-one interviews that included hands-on coding, whiteboard design, and culture fit questions. I enjoyed all the exercises and completed them without significant difficulty. However, I wasn't truly able to shine in the coding exercise due to time constraints.
The conference room setup was also not quite ready, as we had to wait for an HDMI adapter, indicating mild disorganization.
The most irksome aspect of the entire process has been the lack of communication. It's been almost two weeks, and I haven't heard back. I believed I performed fairly well, but it appears they are hesitant to inform candidates when they are not proceeding with their application.
This experience would have been positive if they had simply communicated their decision to move on to other candidates.
