I first attended an info session at my Uni to learn more about Grubhub. After talking to a couple of employees, I thought Grubhub would be a very nice place to work at.
At the info session, I learned that they would be sourcing candidates at the career fair. So, I attended the career fair and did a quick elevator pitch-type interview with an engineer there and was invited to the on-campus interview the next day. I quickly cleared up my schedule.
The on-campus interview was a mix between behavioral questions and a LeetCode easy-ish whiteboard question about balancing parentheses. The following Monday, I received an email saying I made it to the final round and was to be invited to the on-site interview the Friday of the same week.
Unfortunately, my brother-in-law's wedding was that same Friday, and I had planned to go to this wedding months in advance and could not cancel it for an interview. I asked to reschedule, since any day other than that Friday would work for me, and this request was denied. Thus, I am no longer a candidate.
Disappointed that I put in effort to show my interest, yet Grubhub could not reschedule a last-minute interview due to a wedding.
