Process

I was contacted after applying online through the company website.

I had an initial call with an engineer to discuss the teams that make up Gusto and the kind of work they do. This seemed like a culture fit call.

After that, I was set up for a technical interview with another engineer. I assume this engineer was on the team I expressed the most interest in.

I was asked to walk through and complete a technical challenge on CoderPad. Everyone was really nice and great to talk to.

Questions

I was asked to solve a real problem that Gusto works with.

I needed to know how to efficiently attack the problem, explain my thought process, and come up with a working solution.
