Gusto was my favorite internship while I was an undergraduate. Everything from the people to the company was amazing. Some of the highlights were that Eddie (the CTO) was actually super involved in the intern program and would say hi to all of us by name by the end of the internship.
My mentor and the entire team were always huge highlights - they both valued my contributions and opinions, but at the same time recognized that I was still learning and were very accommodating and never demeaning when I asked 'simple' questions.
Additionally, the office itself was awesome - a huge open floor plan, but the desks are off to the side so you still have a little privacy.
Overall, I had an awesome time interning with Gusto; I highly recommend it.
The only con that comes to mind is that the return offer was not that great. However, the intern pay was itself very competitive.
