I can work on whatever I want, and nobody would question me. I just built an app that has nothing to do with anything we do here. I love the freedom. The new office is large and nice, and if I have friends meet me here, it is respectable.
There is a lot of favoritism here. They are faking numbers. The product is losing track in the last 8 months. We build something and throw it away right after building it, then repeat it again. If you ask why, you get the answer: "We are a startup, so we have to fail. That's what we are good at, failing." That's what I and many other engineers are doing: side projects.
If you hire smart people, they can tell the difference between real progress and complete lies. If the CEO lies in front of the company, it's obvious. If the CEO's favorite projects fail, then someone should be accountable, not just in a company speech. Don't treat engineers differently, like some are only here to do code reviews and infra maintenance, and others are only for doing proper features. Otherwise, all of us have great ideas for side projects. :)
Somewhat fine, but I had a problem with last-minute rescheduling. The interview was rescheduled twice right before the original time, and I was not consulted about the new time. Then, halfway through the full loop, my interviews were canceled witho
It was an interview on the HackerRank tool with some LeetCode questions. The task wasn't too difficult to do. The interview was quite pleasant, but I was slightly out of practice with LeetCode-styled questions.
The interview didn't even happen. I was left waiting for over three months. It started with a referral. I was supposed to have an introductory call with a Director. He claimed to be sick and ignored me for three months. I was then rejected from the
