Process

This was a really positive interview experience and while I am not big into writing reviews, I wanted to highlight this process for future candidates to get an inside look into the company.

I was reached out to by a recruiter through LinkedIn who told me that she is tasked with building out the prop components team and liked my profile working on engines. I initially replied that I wasn’t looking and 99% of the time the recruiter wouldn’t even follow up again, but she explained to me that many of the engineers who end up at Hermeus are not looking for new roles and are doing well in their current jobs but end up joining because of a chance to impact design at an earlier stage.

I asked for a few days to update my resume and we proceeded with a call. I was impressed with how knowledgeable she was, and was surprised she wasn’t an engineer herself. What impressed me the most is that she spent over 30 mins with me on a prep call before my interview with the hiring team. I’ve never seen this type of involvement from end to end.

I ultimately deduced that I couldn’t move to CA but I am 100% going to reach out to Hermeus the first chance my situation changes.
