Java Developer Interview Experience - Shanghai, Shanghai

March 1, 2017
Negative ExperienceNo Offer

Process

Phone interview and then on-site interview.

On-site interview included writing tests about Java and Data Structures.

I passed the phone interview easily.

On-site interview was a bad experience. The employee was busy in a meeting, and another guy came to meet me.

His attitude was bad and contemptuous. He disagreed with my answer, but he couldn't provide reasonable evidence. Finally, he said: "OK, let's skip it."

He asked me about "volatile" (which he wrote as "voliate", WTF). I answered the meaning and got a ridicule.

Questions

Phone: Core Java; Primitive types; Threads; Reflection; LinkedList;

On-site: Data structures and algorithms; Java GC; Find the largest continuous sum of an array; Depth of a binary tree;
