I started with EDS, came to HP after the EDS purchase, and then HP split into HPE. During all this time, my coworkers have been the best. Despite all the change, the bulk of the individual contributors are top-of-the-line, hard-working individuals who keep on producing.
The IT services industry has been a challenging business the past few years. As companies reduce outsourcing, service companies are faced with decreasing revenues. EDS/HP/HPE have reacted with wave after wave of workforce reductions, movement of jobs to low-cost countries, and corporate splits/mergers. This has really demoralized the employees.
