Learned some interesting products. Developed in a new programming language. Met some interesting coworkers. Minimal raises. I worked at HP before. HP today is another large, faceless corporation that focuses on products and treats its workers as an expense. Saw a lot of product being off-shored.
Even though I was a software engineer in test, my manager did not understand what I did on a daily basis. He had me keep a daily log of what I worked on during the day. Many Thursdays or Fridays, he would ask for volunteers to work over the weekend. My manager yelled at me on multiple occasions.
Your employees are important too. Based on how I was treated at HP, I rarely consider purchasing an overpriced HP product anymore. If you want me to "voluntarily contribute" to HP PAC, then you will need to increase my pay so I have money left over at the end of each pay period.
I wasn't going to write a review for this experience as I only had the phone screening, but my experience was so bad that I felt it would be pertinent for the company and future candidates to know. I had my phone screening in February 2020, and it w
Applied online. Was contacted by a recruiter who loved my resume. Passed it on to a manager within the department. Was contacted by a senior developer to set up an interview. Interview was pretty straightforward (see questions). Interviewers were not
The interview process was disorganized. Some people were nice, and some had large egos. Each candidate spoke with three different developers. Two developers were extremely nice and spoke in depth about what they do. They had looked over my resume ah
