Pros

Work-life balance is pretty good in most places you look, although this can be subject to your manager.

Great place to settle down if you have low expectations in your life.

Cons

The pros come at a cost.

Culture, inclusion, games, and other events all the time is okay, but the HRs need to spend some more time evaluating how much the competition is shelling out on retaining employees. HPE managers don't even break a sweat to retain employees.

I bet this will affect the long-term growth of HPE due to a lack of competitive incentives for skilled employees to stay. Only people good at HR-organized games will end up staying.

Advice to Management

There is no way HPE will pay more than its competitors, and every single person in the org knows this. Rather than failing to retain an employee after they get an offer letter, hike the salaries of employees who have stuck with the company before it is too late. Literally every single review on Glassdoor is disappointed with this. Use this as a wake-up call.
