Recruiter reached out via LinkedIn with a call scheduling link. I used the link, and provided my personal email a couple times (also emailing her).
The call was going fine until 20 minutes in, when she asked if I was using React at my current job, to which I responded "no, but I've used it in a previous job and recently been keeping up to date with it." All of a sudden, her tone went cold and I got the feeling the interview was over. That's understandable (albeit a waste of both of our times).
What's not understandable is that I get a rejection email a week later from the recruiter, to MY COMPANY EMAIL ADDRESS. At no point did I share my company email address, and my primary email address on LinkedIn is also the same personal email that I had provided to her. This is completely unprofessional!! I'd rather be ghosted than get a rejection email to my company email address.
Do you use React at work?
