The interview was easy, with only generic data engineer questions, a few SQL queries, and Python code.
The main issue with HSBC was regarding the HR process. After I cleared the interview, they agreed to pay me the package they themselves offered, but then it took more than 20 days to release. After multiple follow-ups, they said it was a very huge business that was not approving.
Secondly, now they have again offered another X amount of package themselves and came up with the reason that the business is not accepting it.
Such weird answers were not expected from them, as before scheduling the interview, they were informed about my expectations and my current CTC. Still, after wasting my precious 1.5 months, they did not release any offer.
I would just suggest please cross-confirm about your expectations before opting for an interview. HR and Business are of no use as they do not have any idea about the market and are not being transparent enough.
Python question: To segregate lower and upper case records from a list.
