Pros: No joke, I switched about 4 companies, and HSBC was by far the most pleasant organization to work for. This is my own view and observation based on my employment at Vancouver, BC, at the Broadway Tech Centre. The bank was by far the most diverse place of work I have ever experienced. People from all walks of life had senior and leadership roles. Management was very smooth. Managers were kind and helpful. My co-workers were smart and were always willing to sit down with me and help out. Nobody yelled at me or called me stupid. During a lockdown, I got very sick (luckily, it wasn't Corona). My manager checked up on me on a daily basis to see how I felt. It was nice to see that somebody from work did care on a human level! The compensation was more than fair. I never asked for a promotion since I never felt I needed it. Work-life balance was a thing. No, really, with a few exceptions, I was on my way home at 5-6 pm. Even before COVID, you were free to work at home if you'd like. I never had a problem getting time off or vacations. Small cultural things like birthdays and team retreats (remember the Grouse Mountain hike, guys? Oh, that was fun). Most importantly, the most awesome thing and most awesome feeling that I have is that I can go to the HSBC website and see something that I had helped to create, which is being used by other people, and there is a little bit of "me" in there.

Cons: I have two: * Lenovo ThinkPads * Mandatory courses, most of which were not related to things that I did at HSBC.

Pros: For freshers, the salary is good. It gives a fair amount of bonus. Good work-life balance.

Cons: But for 5 to 6 years of experience, it's very low.

Pros: Very friendly, good working space.

Cons: Not easy to get a promotion.
