Brand name, decent salary, flexible shifts (mostly).
Leave management is good.
Infrastructure in Business Bay, Pune is below par.
Lack of parking spaces and also, believe it or not, lack of chairs on the floor.
Bureaucratic processes.
Lack of willingness to adopt cloud in some areas. Working on outdated technologies.
People who have worked on outdated technologies continue to serve as Leads and seniors even on newer technologies. This doesn't make sense, as they have no expertise on the new technology, yet they lead such projects purely on the basis of the 10 to 15 years they have spent in HSBC.
Most of the senior technical people here are ones who have spent close to or more than 10 years here. They are woefully unaware of how the technical world outside HSBC has evolved in the past couple of years.
Technologies in use outside HSBC for the past 3 years or so are considered the latest ones here simply because they didn't know about them.
Spending more than a year here would erode whatever technical skills you have.
