HSBC Interview Experiences
Software Engineer Intern
One round of interview with two interviewers. The interviewers seemed pretty distracted during the interview process, not the best experience. The interview goes for 30-45ish minutes. Asked about projects, then asked to do one LeetCode question.
Software Engineer
Simple interviews with basic to advanced Java concepts, including Spring Boot and backend development. Topics covered: hashing, component scan, repository, and more about backend development with respect to Java 8, entities, and objects/annotations.
Engineering Graduate
The final-stage assessment consisted of two 40-minute interviews with assessors. The interviewers were engaging and did not expect technical knowledge. I was able to have some great conversations about the role and culture.
