Pros

Hikes better than service-based organizations.

Cons

Managers are promoted just due to their number of experience with minimal skills.

Employees are forced to sit on desk, and managers are not open to allow the team to learn new skills, saying it is irrelevant for the project.

Constant monitoring of on-desk hours as they have a Sapient tool installed on every system.

WFH is there in policy, but managers will mostly never allow it.

Managers do not have managerial skills and will say, "My team, my rules" in meetings. They feel as if employees are working for them and not HSBC.

Hire and fire policy at HSBC.

Advice to Management

Please hire skillful managers, and do not promote people just due to a high number of years of experience.
