Some co-workers are very difficult to work with. Especially the ones that have been in the company for a long time, and will mock you and give you a hard time when you need help or advice.
You are thrown into the deep end on day one, and not given much help.
Poor documentation everywhere; you will literally pull your hair out to find information and find out what team can assist you.
Senior management doesn't care about you or your team unless there is an issue that would make them in trouble. Only then they will assist.
Things are very, very slow-moving.
Hesitant to move to the cloud.
Since there is not much help from others and team members on how to do things and gain information, you often feel like breaking down.
No team/company vision passed down, and as a result, morale is very low.
Very lazy and useless people, who are freeloaders. Give them a task or ask, they never do it, or come up with excuses to not do it, and get a free paycheck.
Better leadership overall. More accountability for what people are doing. Making sure there is easy-to-read and find documentation everywhere.
Three rounds of interviews. One take-home task. Questions ranged from Java Collections, data structures, new Java features, Angular, JavaScript, multithreading, and databases. Tasks involved writing code, finding bugs in other code, and understanding
Technical round: Coding questions, like LeetCode challenges. You would be given 30 minutes for the coding round. You will be sharing your screen while coding. Also, another half an hour with usual Java, Spring, and API design questions.
One interview with HR, two with the team. The entire process took over two weeks and was quick. Overall, everyone was nice and easy to converse with. It was a good interview.
