I applied to HubSpot towards the end of May. Within a week, I received an email to arrange a recruiter call, which lasted about 30 minutes.

The recruiter then sent me the first take-home exercise, which I submitted within a week. The take-home exercise was very straightforward, requiring some basic knowledge of data structures and how to consume an API.

After waiting for 3-4 weeks, they informed me that I had aced the exercise. However, they stated they were evaluating their H2 hiring and would reach out in one week to proceed with the next interview.

Since then, five more weeks have passed, and they have completely ghosted me. I've reached out and received no answer. That is no way to treat a candidate; you should at least let them know if there's a hiring freeze.
