The interview process consisted of three sections:
For the Online Assessment, you're given an API key and can use any language and any IDE to retrieve data from the API, analyze/sort it, and then send it back. Study up on REST APIs.
For the Recruiter Interview, you'll be asked various behavioral questions. You'll encounter standard ones like "Tell me about yourself" and "Tell me about a time you failed." If you haven't already, look up the STAR method for responding to these kinds of questions. Bonus points if you research the company, look up their culture code, and consider how it relates to you personally.
The Technical Interview was split into a standard coding interview and a system design interview. The coding questions were around LeetCode Easy difficulty. Because they are easy, make sure you don't just solve them, but solve them well. Take your time, talk through your thought process, and consider whether it's the most efficient solution.
The System Design question is pretty typical. The best thing you can do is research online and practice.
Altogether, the process took me about four months from start to finish due to some scheduling issues. Throughout the entire process, the interviewers and recruiters have been very pleasant to talk to and interact with.
Tell me about a time that you failed. What did you learn from this?
Tell me about a mentor in your life. How did they affect you?
Tell me about one of your favorite coding projects.
Tell me about a time that you had conflict within a group/team. How did you resolve it?
Given a string, find the most commonly occurring substring.
How would you design a video streaming service like YouTube or Netflix?
