My interview started with a three-hour-long API test. Using any language or tech stack, I had to hit their API, perform data parsing and manipulation, and send it back. It was one of my favorite coding challenges ever – it felt real and meaningful.
The second part was a quick 15-20 minute HR interview, asking behavioral questions like, "Tell me about a time when..."
HubSpot schedules all of their final round interviews for the end of October. I waited a few months and then received an email inviting me for an onsite interview.
Since I was interviewing for a Front-End position, I had a one-hour algorithm interview followed by a one-hour JavaScript interview (make sure to brush up on vanilla JS fundamentals!). Everyone was super nice and seemed to genuinely enjoy their jobs.
Both onsite interviews included a 10-minute behavioral portion. At the end of each interview, there was time for questions.
Overall, it was my favorite intern interview process that I've been a part of.
