Pros

Good pay considering you can be fully remote. Interesting and challenging work. Quite a lot of autonomy, not too many meetings. Good internal technology and tooling.

Most employees are good at what they do, and hiring and promotions seem quite meritocratic. Travel opportunities for company and team events. Temporary mobility, although you need to have work authorization in the destination country and they do check that.

Cons

Unlimited PTO is a ruse. UK employees have 20 days holiday allowance per year (plus bank holidays), and taking more is strongly discouraged, although it depends on the manager and performance.

Very American culture: performance- and results-oriented, toxic positivity.

Engineers have to be on call one week out of four, which is tough if you have a life outside of work.

The company's recent choice to jump fully on the GenAI bandwagon is unpopular with many employees.
