Pros

The company does have aggressive growth plans, or at least that is the way they lured top talent like me from the Bay Area. People are relatively nice, and work is not too fast-paced.

You get the standard perks such as coffee, breakfast, and beer, etc., that have become table stakes now.

Cons

Work is not as exciting as I had thought, and the product managers are just some rude East Coast MBAs. The quality of the software engineering talent in the company is actually pretty bad compared to the two other companies I have worked with.

It does not feel or work like a start-up. So don't let them fool you with "start-up culture." It is the same messy office politics culture you can expect in a badly run mature company.

Advice to Management

Don't pretend to be who you are not; at least don't sell yourself to prospective employees that way.
